Body of UK serviceman in mix-up

Quote:
A mix-up led to the remains of a UK serviceman killed in Afghanistan being returned in the wrong coffin, the Ministry of Defence has admitted.
It occurred after a Nimrod aircraft crashed near Kandahar in September - killing 12 airmen based at Kinloss in Moray, a soldier and a Marine.

There was a "regrettable incident" but the problem was sorted out before the men's funerals, the MoD insisted.

It is bad enough to have your loved one killed in the line of duty but for this to happen, I cannot begin to think how the families of the victims must have felt
