Forces' centre gets £24m boost

Quote:
The armed forces rehabilitation centre, Headley Court, is to get an extra £24m to improve facilities for injured servicemen and women.

Defence Secretary Des Browne has paid a visit to the unit, which is in Surrey.

The funding will help build an accommodation block, a bigger prosthetic limb workshop and a neurological lab.

The facility, which looks after 180 patients, cares for those injured in conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The investment, which will be made over the next four years was announced in Parliament by Armed Forces Minister Bob Ainsworth.

This is good to see, Headley Court is a brilliant facility and with this funding it it will become even better.
