Hi all, I have been thinking of ideas for gaining members, and here is what I have come up with.
- Submit to search engines (I have done this)
- Word of mouth (Most of us have done this)
- Top 100 Sites, etc. (I have submitted to one but more are better
)
- Signature links on other forums (I have done this)
- Advertising threads on other forums (But try not to spam, as this will give us a bad reputation...)
- Links in profile of messaging programs like MSN, AIM, etc.
- Link in signature of e-mails
- Posting new threads and keeping conversations going (as new members will see that the forum is active
)
This is all I could think of so far. Does anyone else have any more ideas? I want to get more members but without spamming and things of that nature to do so. If you think of anything, please post here. And also post if you have done anything, like submit our link to any Top Sites pages, so we don't duplicate it. Thanks a lot everyone.
