STNG) CHICAGO A 23-year-old man, found in a heat duct by police, has been charged Sunday after he tried to rob a South Side game store late Saturday.

About 8:45 p.m. the offender allegedly ran up behind two employees who were closing the store, located at 6700 S. Stony Island, and forced them back into the store while displaying a blue steel handgun, according to Lt. Tim Bickham at the Grand Crossing district. The store is an EB Games store, according to yellowpages.com.

The offender told the two employees he was not going to hurt them and then demanded money from the store. He also asked about the location of the Playstation 3s.

After the two employees took the suspect to the back of the store to show him where the Playstations were, he found out he was being recorded on the store�s camera system, Bickham said.

One of the employees escaped the offender and locked him and the other employee in the store after the offender sent her to the front of the store to get the key to access the camera system. Once outside the store the employee flagged down police.

Officers reviewed the security camera to see where the offender stashed the handgun and found him hiding in the air duct.

When arrested, police found that Antuan Blackman had $559 in his pants and $54 in coins in his sweatshirt, Bickham. The 23-year-old offender was charged with armed robbery and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. He is scheduled to appear in bond court later Sunday.
