Blair may stay until next summer

Tony Blair is likely to stay as prime minister longer than some had expected, Education Secretary Alan Johnson said.
Buoyed by Mr Blair's final conference speech as leader, his supporters want him to stay until next summer.

Mr Blair has said he will quit within a year, but there had been calls for him to go by next May at the latest.

well if I vote I always vote labour, but that is the way i have been bought up.
In 10 - 20 years i think this country will look back with fondness of the greatest ever labour leader. It is a shame that the end of his reign has been tarnished by the Iraq conflict, but look back at the end of Margaret Thatchers reign it was tarnished, but now the country thinks she did a good job. Polotics is a real fickle world.

Imo Blair has to go sooner rather than nxt summer,he has done sooooo much damage and we can only hope that the nxt PM does a better job,but hey its like evrything else we will have to wait and see
