Car Theft Risk Revealed

Quote:
Shocking test results released by consumer watchdog Which? have revealed that some new cars on the road can be broken into by thieves in as little as 3 seconds.

Car manufacturers are now under pressure as it becomes clear that their current security measures are not keeping up with the pace of the modern car thief.

The Peugeot 107, Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo superminis are all made in the same factory and all take 3 seconds to break into. Some other suprising poor performers were the Subaru Impreza 2.0 GX which takes only 10 seconds to break into and the VW Golf 1.6 FSI which takes only 15 seconds to breach.

Some of the top performers in Which?'s tests included the Audi A6 2.4SE, the Mazda 3 1.6TS and the VW Beetle 2.0.
.. is nothing safe nowadays

Would agree with that theory, GeeZeeR. It seems a little bit unbelieveable that someone could overcome a Car Alarm System, in 3 seconds, without having some prior knowledge of how it works.

Yeah, without that knowledge, there's no way that criminals can just happen to 'figure out' the car alarm in 3 seconds. Seems like we can't trust anyone nowadays, as that many are out just to get money.
