'Friendly fire' kills UK soldiers

Three British troops have been killed in Afghanistan by so-called friendly fire, the Ministry of Defence has said.
The MoD said the soldiers, from 1st Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment, were killed at around 1830 local time (1500 BST) on Thursday.

It is understood the soldiers died when US fighter planes, called to support ground troops, dropped a bomb near their patrol in Helmand province.

Two other soldiers were also injured. Next of kin have been informed.

It is bad enough when you lose troops through enemy fire but when its your allies it just makes your blood boil, absolutely no offence to our members over the pond but US forces have done this way too much we are losing too many troops to these idiots, the forces not American people. Sorry if I have offended anyone but this is getting stupid

I have been saying this all along to get our troops and any other troops out of there and leave them too it,too many lives are being lost. My thoughts are with the family may they find peace
