While sitting last night watching the late news on itv there was a brief whats coming up segment where they were talking about our troops who lost there lives in Afganistan who were flown back to Kinloss yesterday, but hey when the news came on what was the top story well you got it Tony Blair,what were they thinking off, RAF troops who died last week in Afganistan who were there for our country i felt were given a secondary thought. The brave troops who lost there life should have in my opinion taken priority over our so called pm. Sorry if i offend anyone but i just thought it was wrong very wrong

I totally agree with you Tankgirl, who really cares that 'President' Blair got a hard time at the TUC conference. 14 British troops lost their lives in warzone that they were sent to by Blair and they came home, that should have been the top story no questions asked

Agree HB, the Tony Blair issue doesn't even warrant news space, let alone take priority over the return home of our Soldiers that gave up their lives through a decision made by that prat, the PM can go get stuffed, and he soon will be, by his own party.

Well TGL! I knew somebody in that crash so I would be careful in the way you express your opinions! you have as much right to express them as the next guy, however use some sense! just because you dont agree with what is said doesn't mean that you are right!

I defence of the news agencies the crash happened a few days before the Repatriation, so they say that this not breaking or news of the day, how wrong you think that is is a personal thing, the news at 6 or 10 gives what happens that day and the editor decides what order, again a personal thing! I agree tankgirl it should have been higher but then again, if you think about it, the news broadcasters want to please as many as possible and starting a broadcast with death on any level doesnt make good viewing.
It's my opinion that the media should have a hard look at the way they cover all aspects of conflict and what priorities they have!

Hope I have not gonr on to much but its something I feel strongly about!
