Israels prime minister has said there will be no end to the attacks on southern lebanon until a peace keeping force is in place, and since there has been no UN mandate for a force to be delployed that could mean weeks of fighting!!!! What the hell is the world coming to?? Everybody seems to want to fight each other just now

well, i think Israel should stop & Hasbella should stop too...so people can get there lives back to normal...they are actin like kids on a playground....fightning takin classmates etc etc

I agree with TGL what they are doing is stupid how many lifes of our forces or civillian lifes is it going to take before someone decides to talk instead of fighting,i know that our troops aint there yet but i think they will be sooner or later, Why the hell dont these people sit down and talk

Tony Blair has said there will be a United Nations resolution paving the way for a ceasefire in the Lebanon "in the next few days".
The prime minister said the remaining differences to a resolution being put down were now "very slight".

But he said it was a "very critical time" in the negotiation process between the US, France, UK and Lebanon.

Mr Blair was defending his Middle East policy at his monthly news conference in Downing Street.

I read in the paper today that it will all be over by early next week, Israel seems very confident.

I dont think it will EVER be over in that area, they have been at each other off and on for years I wont believe there is a ceasfire until it actually happens

I think that the fighting needs to continue until these people are totally wiped out. They do not want to stop, as they want to rid the world of 'infidels,' or in other words, non-Muslims or Muslims who do not fight for their cause. They will not stop until these 'infidels' (which are people like you and me) are destroyed. I don't want fighting, but in this case, it really is necessary.

Israel will not sit there and allow a terrorist organization such as Hezbollah continue to attack their citizens, and I do not blame them. Hezbollah will not stop, as they are pawns of the Prime Minister of Iran, who is a nutcase himself. As I said, they want to rid the world of 'infidels' and they hate Jewish people, as it seems much of the world does. Do not ask me why, as it also baffles me, but it seems as though much of the world is anti-semetic.

Israel is one of our closest allies and I think that if they need it, we should protect them. I am not for fighting but I do not want to watch one of our closes allies get pummelled by terrorists that are killing them for no reason. After Israel, they will come after Britain, the United States, and all other western, non-Muslim countries. This may happen even before they try a large attack on israel... look at the latest attack that was foiled in Britain...

There will not be an end to the fighting until one of the sides is eliminated, and by golly, it will not be the so-called 'infidels,' or in other words, us. They hate every one of us, but we cannot let them accomplish their goals of killing every single one of us. I think many people do not understand that they hate all of us and want all of us dead, and obviously, as they kill themselves to murder others, will not stop at any risk to do so. We need to take these terrorists out to end the fighting.

saurgrist made a good point, if the US and Britain and our other allies don't continue to fight this war on terror the terrorists will think we gave up and keep attacking which we don't want, so in order to end this thing we need to keep at it. I don't like fighting either, no one does except for the terrorists but we need to stay in there until this thing is over.
