People do not want to get involved. They feel that somehow someone will "blame" them if they help. How many times have you heard of someone chocking and someone give them the Heimlich, break a rib, and then get sued? For some it is not worth the risk---shame how things have become.

Totally agree, unfortunately nowadays people ARE scared to try and help in case they get sued, it is a very sad state of affairs that the "good samaritan" approach seems to be fading away because of peoples greed, thats all these law suits are about! more money!!!!!

Well it is a very sad state of affairs to do that to another human being,Now it seems that most people are only interested in themselves,but as anyone who know me will know that i could never walk past anyone who was hurt or needing help, hey thats just me

Times have changed, and looking out for your neighbor(s) is not something instilled in us as we grow up...life is not only selfish nowadays, but lacks empathy.
