Police use anti-speeding horsebox

Officers in north Wales are using a horsebox parked by the side of the road to hide a speed camera.

The horsebox with two officers inside was parked near Llanrwst in the Conwy Valley on Sunday.

The force, renowned for its campaign against speeding would not comment on its use but said enforcement activity would increase as the days lengthen.

The Department of Transport said it recommended speed cameras were made "highly visible" to motorists.

Sunday's deployment saw the horsebox parked on a straight stretch of the A470 at Maenan near Llanrwst.

Whatever next, will they hide these bloody cameras in trees? IMO they cause more accidents because people speed up between cameras

mmmm i dont speed much no seriously i am in no way any worse than some of the other drivers out there really anyway if the police catch someone speeding on there own head be it and suffer the consequences

This just seems a little bit much... what's wrong with the cop sitting there with a radar gun and then just getting people speeding? People are going to speed no matter what they do, and this is just a waste of money as TGL said...
