Radical changes for organ donors

Laws governing organ donation and tissue retention are to be overhauled, possibly allowing more transplants.
Under the Human Tissue Act, people will have a legal right for their wishes to be followed, meaning doctors could over-rule relatives' objections.

I think this is a good idea, it means that if you are an organ donor you know your wishes will be carried out. I am sure that grieving relatives that object to their loved ones organs being used for transplant only do so because they have just lost someone close to them and dont want to think about parts of their body being removed, but Dr's will now be able to still harvest the organs for transplant.

Agree, it is a good idea ... providing that there is documented proof that the Donors did in fact agree, prior to their death, otherwise it will just be an open door for doctors to remove what they like, from whom they like, after their death.

i agree too, when i die....i want my organs to be used in transplant...not 4 experimints

well after some thought about this i do agree ,it would just be so hard to come to terms with loosing someone you love and the very idea of someone walking about with my loved ones heart i would rather that loved one was with you. if you all know what i mean,as Rocol says as long as there is signed paper work fine
