Steve Irwin (a.k.a Crocodile Hunter) has died.

Such a shame it happened to such a nice guy, he really was a great example of the aussie bloke and someone that you would love to call a mate.

He was a tv natural, it was impossible not to get carried away with his enthusiasum, often imitated but never bettered.

You always joked that one day a croc would get him, never thought it would actually happen though...

I will aways remember those shorts, "crikey, he's a bit cranky" and how much he loved his kids.

The family of Australian "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin is to reveal whether it will accept a government offer to give him a state funeral.
Thousands of people have been visiting Mr Irwin's zoo in Queensland to pay their respects and leave flowers.

This is a nice gesture by the Australian government, it is a mark of the respect Steve had earned for himself. But if his wife decides to make the funeral a private affair then her wishes should be respected and the matter closed. Some sort of permanent memorial to him should be erected.

His manager has called for the video of the stingray accident to be destroyed and never be shown, the tape is currently in the hands of the police but he has requested that it is burnt when they release it.
