TV host seriously hurt in crash

Quote:
Top Gear's Richard Hammond is seriously ill in hospital after a crash in a jet-powered car while filming for the BBC programme.
The 36-year-old presenter was taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary's neurological unit.

A spokesman for the hospital said Mr Hammond was "stable".

Mr Hammond had been driving a dragster-style car capable of reaching 300mph at the former RAF airfield in Elvington, near York.
Quote from BBC News website.

Lets hope he makes a full and speedy recovery for the sake of his wife and children. He has brought a lot to Top Gear and I am sure everyone connected with the programme will wish him well.

Agree .. hope he makes a full and speedy recovery, he is an excellent presenter, and he makes Top Gear the popular program that it is, imo. ;)

you know....people die and i never feel for them....Celebs that is..When i watched Tommy Cooper die on stage it was funny till we knew what had happened...

But.....Top Gear, well thats my fav show....The hamster seems to be a good guy.But you know what they say about all the good guys.....!!!!!!!!

I wish him well....his familly must be going through hell right now...

But having said that.....Is to die doing what you love the best way to die..... Or is that to easy a thing to say.....

Yes, Hospital terminology amazes me sometimes .. especially when you ring up to ask how someone, in Intensive Care ' is, and they reply, " He is poorly " or " He is Comfortable "
