Thought with all the probable transfers going on over the next week or so it would be a good idea to start a thread dedicated to transfers.

Heres a couple to start the ball rolling, it appears Liverpool are very close to sealing a £6.2M deal to take Jermaine Pennant to Anfield, and Quinton Fortune is poised to complete his move from Man U to Bolton

Blackburn Rovers have signed Benni McCarthy from Porto. Not heard much from him the last year or so but I am sure he will do a decent job at Ewood Park

According to the BBC Sport website Tottenham are set to announce this afternoon the £15m deal that will see Michael Carrick leave them for Old Trafford.

A reasonable player but £15M???? Transfer fees are getting silly now, something needs done sooner rather than later.

Inter have paid £6.7m to Juventus for Patrick "judas" Vieira. That is a huge loss of money for Juve!!!!! WHAT A SHAME .............................. NOT

Yet another player has jumped the sinking ship that is Juventus, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined Inter Milan in a £16.7m deal. But Juventus have made a profit of £5.9m on the player they bought in 2004. He is the sixth big name player to leave the club following their relegation from Serie A. I wonder how many more will leave before the end of the transfer window????

Not totally convinced with him, buffon for Arsenal, Del Piero for Man City and bring Neville Southall out of retirement for Liverpool FC

Its has just been announced on the BBC Sport website that Liverpool have agreed a fee with Feyenoord for striker Dirk Kuyt, Liverpool seem to have eventually got their man !!!!
