US pair agree Liverpool takeover

American ty****s George Gillett and Tom Hicks have reached an agreement to take over Liverpool.
Hicks and Gillett will be co-chairmen but will leave existing chief executive Rick Parry to run the club.

The pair are apparently unwilling to discuss figures but have promised that funds will be available to strengthen the squad and build a new stadium for the club. Probably wont be as impressive as the Emirates stadium though!!!!!!! ;)

i heard that they wil be £100-£150m spendin budget!

Hopefully they will put money into the team as we need to keep up with manchester united and chelsea should be intresting

Tom Hicks is the owner of the Texas Rangers baseball club and he gave Alex Rodriguez (now the Yankees third baseman) a 10 year deal worth $250 million. That's the largest baseball contract. He is willing to spend money. ;)
