well, sony always do a price cut on there consoles, like with the PS1, they cut $100 oh the price & then it started to sell, but its a good thing alrund, now people can et what they need!

PS3 is still $500, which is still way too much for a console IMO. The Wii was always cheap and a better decision financially, as well as if you consider the overall fun factor. The 360 is actually looking to be better now because of the cheaper price and the warranty, except for the fact that all of the hardware malfunctions and Microsoft even admitted that they made this system a piece of garbage. If everything can be corrected and fixed, this "next gen" will be a success. If not, the Wii will be the only success until good games come out for the others, which really isn't happening right now.

I would wait on both... wait for the 80 GB PS3 to take the place of the 60 GB PS3 at $499 (since they aren't going to make the 60 GB anymore). Wait for the 360 because Microsoft deemed all of them as defective and offered that 3 year warranty. You will want one that is guaranteed to work and I believe MS is working on that.

Personally, I'd never buy anything that was so expensive unless it was dire (and purchasing a console for such a price as both the PS3 and XBOX 360 were or still are, is not dire)
