Face Transplants

With a team of UK surgeons now being given permission to do a full face transplant what are peoples views??

That is kind of weird... but if someone's face gets ruined in a fire or something, it could be useful. Just seems weird to me though.

Its just wrong,if someone face is so disfigured we do have brilliant plastic surgeons,there is no need to take a dead persons face

I disagree with it, as has been said, modern ' Plastic Surgery ' is enough, without taking someone elses face and using it

It's not normal and imo shouldn't really be used unless someone got his face burned or similiar.

Sounds interesting seeing that I love all sciences. Don't know much about the procedure, but from reading the previous posts it also sounds controversial.

as i said in the original post, as long as the patient has met all the criteria and is not living in the area of the donor! then yes why not, it like any other organ transplant but its visual, i would not mind my face being used, ( no smart comments HB)

i totally agree with it. i watched a programme on a face transplant last week it was amazing. the poor woman had been mauled by her dog and the lower part of her face was totally gone. she had a face transplant and was making fantastic progress, hence a better quality of life than being stuck inside hiding away from the world.
