Let the rumours begin! alot of rumours have been flying already that this is the year for diablo 3! one of the diablo authors have been interviewed and rumours has it there might be a sequel.

Today our partner site(www.wcradio.com) and a few others(www.blizzplanet.com, www.wowirc.com) hosted a Q&A with Richard A. Knaak, writer of the new book that takes place in the Diablo Universe, Diablo: The Sin War, Book One: Birthright. There are a couple questions relating to Diablo 3 and I think you will be very happy to hear the answers.

"The Sin War trilogy, written by New York Times bestselling author Richard A. Knaak, lays out the basic foundation for the lore of the Diablo universe."

Here are some questions from the interview.


Q - Rathi: Any ifnormation on Diablo3? Have you been asked to write a further story?
A - Knaak: What happens in the Sin War is significant, as I mentioned, toward the future. I know that Blizzard is very eager to make Diablo fans happy.


Q - Medievaldragon: Hope I am not spoiling much at this point, however I really have to ask. Blizzard introduced a new Pandemonium Event monster named Lilith (Act V) in Diablo II Patch 1.11. You can read about her at: http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/mon...5-lilith.shtml
A - Knaak: Answer for Medievaldragon: She is, I believe, although she will look a little different by the game's point. Her part in the trilogy is major.




Q - Medievaldragon: How much of the book is creation of yours, and how involved is Chris Metzen behind the canon storyline of Diablo: The Sin War Trilogy? Do you think the ramifications of this book impact in the storyline of Diablo 3 the game?
A - Knaak: This is a pure collaboration between myself and Chris/Blizzard. All that is written is passed by him and the others there. This will be canon and has adjusted earlier info. The ramifications here will be used for any future project...and I ain't writing for a dead game.


Q - Deathshade|EU: So... Diablo 3?
A - Knaak: I am not writing for a dead world...but a world with dead. nuff said

Just hope the day comes that blizzard will actually make a 3rd diablo and I'll still be here I loved diablo 2 I'd like 3 to be similar to 2 but with better graphics more functions more weapons and armour and a that diablo gets resurrected and that evil never ends and the story continues where it gets lefted off.

Yes I agree swing and slash games arent what they used to be diablo 2 was a fast based swing slash game which I found a really well done design of the game, always made me want to come back for some more. my favour character was the babarian of course his tornado swing used to own everything until the new patch they brought out to lessen the damage it causes. I used to use a map hack too but no one needs to know that but GK you guys could keep a secret hehe shh it used to be most useful to finish quests really fast and I used to identify others characters armor and what there wearing not sure if you can do that now.

I used to play D2 a lot online. I still have the game it is amazing. Kind of scarey how addicting it can get though.

yeah, i hope they come out with D3 too. D2 and even D1 were great games, and I'd be very interested to see how they made the new one better.

Yes It was much more addicting that WoW for me cause I like the idea of fast paced games like that WoW was much slower and took agies just to get something or level up on a stat and used to drain it sometimes, We all hope D3 will come out sometime i will keep update on upcoming news or should i say rumours of D3, but I heard there would be the next starcraft being made next from blizzard.

Yes we have them many fake trailers out there, i remember one of the trailers of WoW was edited to make it look like diablo 3.

I also used to have this awesome diablo 2 mod it used to enhance the game with new features like more weapons etc etc.

i didnt know they were talking about making diablo 3. now that i know there might be one i cant wait. d2 was such a great game.
