help needed

I recently bought a music file from itunes, its a MP4 file, which I exported to my mobile phone. Unfortunately when I tried to play it I got the following message "sound not supported" , I have a Sony Ericsson W950i, the only thing I can think of is that the file may need to be a MP3 file rather than a MP4. Anyone else got a Sony Ericsson that can tell me if their phone plays MP4 files please.

Hi HB, I think you need the MP3 instead of the MP4 as that type of file is DRM protected. You can use programs like tunebite to convert the file, or burn it to a CD and rip it as an MP3, and that file will probably work on the phone. Hope this helps.

Go on google and do a search on converters HB,mp4 2 mp3 many converters out there mainly trail version though..

MP4 to MP3 converters on google search..

One program I'd highly recommend for this is called Tunebite, I've used it many times and it works well
