Plot

Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army.

Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy.

Watched the trailer for this months ago. Looks amazing, so many different characters and interesting creatures, definitly seeing this in theaters.

Watched 300 the other day not a bad movie,plenty of fight scenes in it,special effects were also very good..overall not a bad movie rating 7/10

Watched it when it came out - stunning movie, great fight scenes and remember all you movie critics - its based on a comic book which was based on a real event, not the battle itself. If it was then there would not have been the artistic licence shown.

On the whole we really enjoyed the film and would recommend it for a couple of hours of adrenalin fuelled excitement.

I watched the movie shortly after it came out and I thought it was an amazing movie. Some people complain the plot was sort of basic and dialoge was just macho kind of football (American) talk going around. But honestly it is what the movie called for and the plot was played out PERFECTLY for the role of the movie.

The Spartans do not talk in all philisophical terms etc that was the Athens it would be historically incorrect if they were all being like that.

I would give the movie a 9/10 at the least very possible a 10/10 for me.

The action scenes were top notch, sound effects amazing, story fit perfectly for the movie it was and same with the dialoge. There were plot twists, betrayels, and other good stuff that was happening so it's not all blood and guts bare to the bone action through the entire movie. But thats the jist of it ;)

Anyone who likes movies like Gladiator etc should go see this movie.
