I dont know if anyone else has been to see the new James Bond movie. I just got back . I thought the film itself was brilliant although it didnt really seem like a Bond movie! Parts of it did , but i thought James was a little too violent. Although his rough and ready looks fitted the part quite admirably. I was a little unsure about Daniel Craig becoming 007 but i think now they probably did choose the right guy for the job.
But as good as it was he will never be Sean Connery, who in my opinion was and still is the best 007 ever!

I agree with you baps but i don't think the film was up to the Bonds usual standard;) I saw it a few weeks ago, it was the last film Roy brought round for me.

I haven't seen it yet, not sure how good a bond daniel craig will be. Like you baps for me sean connery is bond

I haven't seen it yet but I wanted to, guess I will have to wait for the DVD release. It looked really good though.

its definitely worth going to the pictures to see but dont hang around for the ususal Bond stuff lol

it didn't seem like a bond movie casue everyone is spoilt by the latest releases.

This is based loosely on the book, the original casino royale, which was the first James book written by Ian Flemming. There was no Moneypenny, there was no Q. No real gadgets. They played baccarat not texas holdem as it wasn't played back then.

Bond was rough round the edges but still had the charm underlining him. He had afterall just become a 00.

I think it was quite a good movie as long as you take into account that its essentially a prequel. Loved the chase through the streets and the building site!!

I dont think i would go out of my way to watch this,am like NV i like the old ones more than the newer ones. Am sure they are good and the visuals must be superb but you cant beat a classic Bond

agree with ya black cobra the street chase was amazing. i know its based on the original book . i have seen the original film also which is brilliant. if they had done this one first there wouldnt be questions asked about it.. but as i said its a cracking film absolutely worth going to see.
