After battling with the daddy of all monkeys in King Kong, Jack Black's next project finds him wrestling with an array of hairy beasts in Nacho Libre, from the writers of Napolean Dynamite and School of Rock.

Set in the dusty Mexican plains, Black plays Ignacio (known to his friends as Nacho), a chef of dubious talents at the monastery-come-orphanage where he grew up.


As he watches local the 'lucha libre' wrestlers strutting their stuff, Nacho is inspired to train himself to become a great champion, raising money for the orphanage and impressing the foxy Sister Encarnación at the same time…

Concealing his identity with a blue mask that becomes his trademark, Nacho plots his trail to glory with the help of his trusty best friend, Esqueleto (The Skeleton).

It's a bit like Rocky, but with a little more flab, better moustaches and lots of spandex leotard action. What more could a movie-going public ask for?!

This is not one I would be rushing out to see at the movies. I can wait till it comes on HBO....
