What a great game, my friend has it for PS2. Definitely a must have if you have the money... it's about $70-80 because of the guitar 'controller.'

Hi all, I bought the game about 2 weeks ago for my son and the disk is all scratched up already somehow (?) i was wondering if I could copy it to my computer and make a copy that will work etc if any one has any ideas plz help I dont have the $$$ to replace it

Hi StarliteJo, welcome to GKF.

The easiest way to back up PS2 games was with a program called RecordNow Max, but unfortunately, the free version, is no longer available.

Your PS2 will need to be chipped, or be using other methods to play Backed Up Games.

However you can back them up by using Nero, the procedure is as follows ..

Extracting with Nero Burning ROM. (*.NRG)

1. Insert original game. Open Nero Burning ROM.
2. Click on ‘Recorder’ > Select ‘Choose Recorder...’ (or Ctrl+R)
3. Choose Recorder dialogue appears > Select the 'Image Recorder' > OK.
4. Click on 'Recorder' > Select 'Copy Disk...' (or icon 'Creates a copy of a disk').
5. New Compilation dialogue appears.
6. Copy Options > Uncheck 'On the fly' > Select your source drive > Select lowest speed available.
7. Image > Click 'Browse' to save your image on the HD > Uncheck 'Delete image file after disk copy'.
8. Burn > 'Write' checked > Click 'Copy', and it starts to burn your game on your HD.

Burning with Nero Burning ROM.

1. Insert blank media. Open Nero Burning ROM.
2. Click on ‘Recorder’ > Select ‘Burn Image’.
3. 'File open' dialogue appears > Select the *.NRG file you created > Click ‘Open’.
4. Nero's 'Burn DVD' dialogue appears. Write 'checked' > Select lowest speed available.
5. Click ‘Burn’, to create the picture DVD.

Hey Rocol, can you use this to do the same with xbox games as well? Just curious. Son keeps wearing out his halo 2.
