ADELAIDE will cook for two weeks on end, according to a revised forecast that says we will suffer temperatures of 35C and above for a record 14 days straight.

The maximum temperature today was previously forecast to be 34C and there had been hopes of a brief cool change, but new predictions say it will reach 36C sometime this afternoon, making this the ninth day in a row over the 35C mark - a new heatwave record .

And that's only the beginning of the bad news. The 35C mark is tipped to be topped right through to Sunday, shattering all heatwave records and sizzling a heat-stressed city.

we've had 35C (95F) to 40C (104F) for over a week now... beating our record of a heat wave today that was recorded back in 1934... this is our hottest spread since records were taken.

our forcast being:
Tues 36C (97F), Wed 38C (100F), Thurs 39C (102F), Fri 39C (102F), Sat 38C (100F), Sun 38C (100F), Mon 34C (93F) (but knowing our luck will get hotter than this!!!)

Just thought i'd let you know whats goin on over here... ITS FREAKIN HOT!!!

I think I would do pretty much the same Crystal, or get myself an outdoor swimming pool built and stay in there permanently, obviously a pool with a big canopy over it

Seems like the weather all round is messed up... we got a heatwave, there's snow storms, rain, floods, just hope it ends soon lol

we set an aussie record today... longest heat wave (35C or higher) for a capital city... 11 days straight which beats Perth, Western Australia's previous record of 10 days straight in 1988... we'll probably go 16-17 days straight with no relief.

Sorry, full of useless crap atm.

@Coppa... both have their pro's and con's... i prefer the colder weather - you can always rug up, but you can only strip down so far - i say cold tho, not icy!!! lol
