RoY was my friend and my mentor..
Without his help and guidence i would have not been half the man i am today.
Roy has been a big part of my life for over 24 years and in this time i have watched his children grow up into the fine caring people they are today.
His daughter and son were both at one time students at our dojo with his daughter gaining her dan grade whilst his son had potential to be as good if not better martial artist than Roy but pursued other avenues albeit with a tinge of disappointment from Roy he backed his son's efforts 110%.

Roy had had heath problems in the passed as i found when i visited him but he was never one to put the weight on others shoulders.Anyway he was Roy and was indestructable !!!
He was a very forthright man and did not suffer fools lightly but once he gained your trust he was a great ally and confidant.
After he retired from the martial arts scene he as always through himself into his work (Health and Safety) at which he was both reviered and feared as he was a rotweiller when he saw anything wrong !!!
Then came the website ...What can i say about that ...it speaks for itself....so lets keep it running in the vain Roy intended it ...and i'm sure with the likes of NV,OG,TGL and co this will be so...

My thought are with his family especially his Mother who is a diamond and to his son,daughter and brother who are out of the same mould.

I will be there on monday to pay my respects to a man i have come to regard as not only a friend and mentor but part of my family...

My thought go out to his family during this tragic time.......

Rest in peace Buddy .......

I will see you there Kintekke, and i will pass all your messages on. Roys family already know how you all felt about him and how much we are all missing him.
